Great solution for older stereos!Jul 02, 2010
This product worked great to hook up my iPod to my older bookshelf stereo system. My stereo was made just shortly before mp3 auxiliary jacks were commonplace on home stereo systems. This utilized the auxiliary RCA audio jacks on my system.

This is not an audio convertor. Although the title clearly says it's a stereo cable, the description fits an audio convertor, which had me confused and I ended up buying a product I didn't need.

I got these for my car. I have a PIE adapter so I needed a long cord, the length is more then adequate and the sound is really clear.
Yes you can get a cheap RCA cable for a dollar or two but the difference in sound when you buy this product makes them worth the extra couple bucks.
It works with MP3 players and smartphones as well.

you can get the same type of cable (although black) from Radioshack, for 1/4 of the price!

I bought this cable to hook my iphone to my car stereo. It worked as expected. However, after less than a year of use the music to my stereo started to have some static and eventually it didn't even come through. I would recommend Dayton 3.5RCA-3 3.5mm Stereo Male To RCA Cable 3 ft. because it is much thicker and stronger which will in turn last much longer.
