 It annoys me completely, but it worksApr 18, 2010
I bought this because my macbook pro is my little gem that lights me life and i want to protect it and keep it nice. I knew I needed a cover because sometimes I eat around my laptop and just didnt want to screw anything up, so I bought the one that was available at my local apple store.
At first I really liked this because I knew I was protecting the keyboard and I just kept repeating that the feel of the silicone would eventually become unnoticeable. Wrong. It drives me crazy and I've had this for about a month. It has slowed down my typing and I find that I am making more typos. I type a lot and write a lot of important papers and it's just annoying to keep going back to fix it. The silicone is just too thick.
Not only that, but the sleeve does carry and catch dust, particles, everything. I knew I had to clean this, but everything sticks. And somehow I have particles underneath of the sleeve, which is what this is supposed to be shielding from.
I just ordered the moshi, thinner, keyboard protector. I don't expect that to be perfect either, but sweet jesus just let me type!
I gave it two stars because it does fulfill it's purpose. Otherwise, I wish I could return it.

they could have made the silicone thinner - a bit cumbersome to type.
also the black paint/ink wears off easily.. I have only had this for a month. does the job of protecting keyboard.

Good keyboard protector; don't like the fact that it sometimes sticks to the screen when I open up my laptop especially when I open it quickly. It does allow me to close my laptop completely shut.
