 I'm very unhappy with this productMar 07, 2010
I took off the palmguard after two months of use and found pock marks in the finish of my mac. Although there is no sticky residue, something in that adhesive has created discolorations and pock marks into my mac. I'm very displeased with this! I put the palmguard on as soon as I bought my mac so I know it wasn't from anything else.

I purchased this because i wanted to protect my macbook pro as much as i could. Since the color is identical to the aluminum body of the computer you barely notice its there. You need somewhat of a steady hand and a good eye to put it on. I purchased a case for my computer as well, and put the case on right after i put the palm guard on. The palm guard is now lifting and bubbling slightly on the side where the case is making some contact with it. This is why i gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, i would highly recommend this product if you want to protect your investment.

Palm Guard for your Macbook ProDec 19, 2009
Perfect cut and fit to the new 2009 Macbook Pro. The color matches the aluminum surface, and provides protection from scratches and wear from your palms, watches or jewelry that may dangle or scrape the Macbook keyboard area.
I'd give it 5 stars if it were cheaper, since this is just a thick applicant around the palm area. The palm guard is a single piece covering both sides, and around the touch pad. There is also a separate piece for the touch pad, but I didn't put it on since I like the feel of the glass pad. Definitely needed if you want something that looks original, matches the surface, and provides surface protection from scratches. From what I've observed, the palm guard can be adjusted if not pressed down hard which I had to do several times to get to right. It also looks like it can be removed without any gummy residue. Highly recommended if you want to keep the surface of the palm area scratch free.

My old PowerBook's palm rests were deeply pitted; apparently I secrete acid from my palms, or something! The old laptop was badly corroded, and I didn't want my new Macbook Pro to end up that way, so I gave this thing a shot. It's great! Fits perfectly, applies simply, feels good, and looks like it belongs there. On the one hand it's really just a silver piece of vinyl with adhesive on one side; but on the other hand it does -exactly- what it should. No regrets for buying this for the laptop.
