5Nice matte feel to itSep 05, 2010
Dunno what else I can say besides adding another 5 stars to this item. It is expensive, but there are many sleek and good quality palm/wrist covers around for the macbook pro. It took me 5 minutes to install it, everything including the palm cover and touchpad. Just google "applying palm guard" or something like that on youtube. Very helpful and it's easy to do.

Remember, it's not a smooth feeling; more like a matte type of feeling. I like it. Oh, if you have sensitivity using the touchpad cover, just increase it in the settings. Not hard.

If you bought a Mac or any other laptop and you use it a lot. Trust me this will say your laptop from that worn look. Thanks.

5Palm GuardAug 27, 2010
The Moshi PalmGuard is an excellent value. Very easy to install, just take your time and do it in a well-lit area following the included instructions. I purchased one for my wife's 13" MBP so she could keep her watch and bracelet from scratching the palm pad and decided to get one for my 15" MBP. Excellent choice! The color match is also great. It has a slight texture, not as smooth as the aluminum but not even noticeable after using it for a few days. I installed the included touch pad guard with no decrease in sensitivity. Take the time and patience to do a good install of both items and you will not be disappointed. The fit is perfect and if you do it correctly you can run your fingers around both sides and the near side and not even feel the PalmGuard. Overall this product is 5/5 stars. James

4Great Palm Rest Guard. Jury Is Out on Trackpad.Aug 21, 2010
First off, I love Amazon. I ordered on Wednesday and received Friday (with Amazon Prime).

The package came with a crescent shape crease/dent. This did not affect the palm rest sticker, but it did show a similar shape crease in the trackpad sticker. However, once the back of the sticker was removed the crease went away, so it must be pretty flexible.

Application is pretty straightforward. Everything is cut so well and fits the computer so well, that it's pretty hard to mess up. The trackpad is the hardest one to apply. I had to remove it once and reapply, let's hope it sticks on.

Now the most iffy part: The trackpad and how it changes interaction with OS X. Overall, everything works. You get a rougher surface that may not be to your liking. It works well if you have a light touch (and very dry fingers).

On a separate note. This was the first time I have ever been disappointed in Amazon's packaging. I ordered this item as well as a cd. Both are very thin. The Moshi package is thin but long. The shipping box was HUGE. Not only was it big, but there was about a 12 feet of those (no joke) inflated plastic rectangle bubbles. It was very funny (and sad) pulling out feet after feet of this stuff... A complete waste of plastic and space. Must of been someone who didn't give a hoot who packed my box.

PS: It probably cost them 1 dollar to make. So you will feel a little duped paying 20 times that. However, there is really no other product like this available and the benefit it brings to the longevity of our Macbook Pro's palmrest area is worth it.

Edit: After a few days with the trackpad sticker I am starting to like it.

4Serves its purpose with adequate aesthetics.Aug 19, 2010
This product is pretty expensive for what it is: a piece of adhesive material designed to preserve the areas to the left and right of the trackpad. The colors and textures however match my 2010 Macbook Pro i7 quite well and blend almost seamlessly into the bare portions of the machine.

Also, a trackpad protecter is included, which, contrary to the reviews written specifically for the moshi TrackGuard, does not actually interfere with the "tap to click" capabilities of the trackpad. As far as I have noticed, the trackpad post installation of the included moshi TrackGuard is just as functional as the bare trackpad. In all reality, the slightly texturized feel that the TrackGuard bestows actually has made for a more pleasant computing experience.

If you're willing to spend the money on what is otherwise a very simple product, you wont be disappointed with its aesthetics or functionality.
