More heavy duty than anticipatedMar 09, 2010 I thought this was going to be some cheap plastic thing. Though it is made of plastic it does not look or feel cheap in person. The build quality of this antenna is quite nice. Much nicer build than the Kaito or Grundig AM loop antennas. I can't comment on the performance of the Kaito or Grundig loops because I have not used them but I have examined them at Radio Shack and to me they look cheap compared to the Terk.
I find that setting the Terk next to my Grundig 750 or my Tivoli radio pretty much eliminates the need to rotate the internal AM ferrite in order to cancel interference. Tuning in the antenna to a signal is easy to do as the frequencies labeled on the dail are well callibrated. It takes some experimenting but I have been able to improve AM DX reception on these radios in certain scenarios. Keep in mind that this antenna's impact is not as great on radios like these that already have above average AM reception. None the less I am glad to have this antenna due to its ability to tackle interference in house alone.
I still plan to much more experimentation with this antenna and hope to provide an update to this review at a later date.
A GREAT PRODUCT !!!!!!!!Mar 04, 2010 I NOW CAN LISTEN TO AM WITH NO PROBLEMS ! great!!!!!
This Product Does A Fine JobFeb 28, 2010 What it is: a non-powered loop antenna with a rotating dial (just like the manual tuner on a radio)that you use to adjust until the signal is optimized. The wire leads have been tinned with solder to keep the twisted wires neat and easy to insert into antenna connector on your radio. It improved reception quite a bit, it was able to take signals that were not really audible and covered with 'hash' and make them at least audible. Using my 'yardstick' of product value and quality, this product is just about the last resort before having to install an outside rooftop antenna.

Significant improvement, still some fadingFeb 06, 2010 Prior to using this antenna I couldn't get my station in the SF Bay Area from the Sierra foothills, about 120 miles (airway). Using this antenna, I can get decent reception during the day. It fades out at night. It's the opposite of what I would expect with night time skip. Easy to use, easy to set up. Looks good. Good price. I'll probably get another one for another radio in the house.

Completely SatisfiedJan 29, 2010 I am thrilled with the AM reception that I now receive with the help of this antenna. Unbelievable! It was easy to set up and the fine tuning dial on the antenna makes a world of difference. I live in Green Bay, WI and I'm listening to stations in Philly, Cincy, New York, Canada, Iowa, Minnesota etc. as if they were right next door. I can't wait for baseball season.
